Radio Wester Ross Station Manager and Breakfast presenter Iain Meadows has been named as a finalist in the Male Presenter of the Year category at the 2026 Community Radio Awards.
The awards recognize the contribution made by community radio presenters, volunteers and stations across the UK, and are independently judged by representatives from the radio, academic and voluntary sectors.
This year marks the tenth anniversary of the awards, which celebrate achievement across broadcasting, journalism, community engagement and volunteering.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday October 24th.

SEPA has introduced a new approach to assessing the environmental impact of Scotland’s marine fish farms, using environmental DNA, or eDNA, to assess seabed conditions.
The technique analyses bacterial DNA from sediment samples, with results potentially available in around six weeks, compared with up to 16 weeks using traditional analysis.
SEPA says the approach will support faster, evidence-based decisions, while existing environmental standards and permit requirements remain unchanged.
