The Royal Scottish National Orchestra will launch Eden Court’s 50th Anniversary celebrations in April, mirroring the opening performance in 1976.

Over the course of the year, audiences will have opportunities to engage with a diverse array of events, culminating in December with Eden Court Stories, a dynamic exhibition led by Jacqueline Briggs.

Chief executive Rebecca Holt said that Eden Court belongs to everyone in the Highlands. This anniversary is a celebration of the past fifty years, but it’s also an open invitation to join us in imagining the next fifty.

Keep Scotland Beautiful is inviting nursery and school pupils, aged 3 to 18, to design a miniature sustainable garden inspired by fresh water.

To celebrate the tenth year of the Pocket Garden Competition, entries should include the number 10 along with edible plants, reused materials, and wildlife-friendly greenery.

Winning designers will create their pocket gardens at school, record them, and participate in an online showcase in June, where the public can vote for their favourite.

Educators can find out more at  https://www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/pocket-garden/training/
