The Den Youth Café, in Gairloch, and Lochbroom Sailing Club are celebrating successful funding awards from the latest round of the Get Active Scotland Fund.
Administered by High Life Highland, the fund is a two-year partnership between national and local organizations.
It aims to increase participation in physical activity, particularly among less-active children, young people and communities affected by deprivation or rural isolation.
Highland community groups can apply for grants of up to £5,000 and the next application deadline is 17 August 2026.

Ariane Burgess, MSP for Highlands and Islands, is calling on the Scottish Government to provide proper funding and mapping for local paths to unlock their economic, health and social benefits.
Responsibility for maintaining Scotland’s paths lies with local authorities and national parks, but inadequate funding leaves many routes difficult to access.
Research from ramblers shows council Access Officer numbers have halved over the past 20 years, reducing the capacity to protect and maintain safe, functional paths.
Poor signage and missing routes on maps also discourage people from enjoying Scotland’s outdoors.

Ross County welcome Dundee to Dingwall, while Inverness Caley Thistle take on St Johnstone at the Caledonian Stadium.
Both matches are being televised live on Premier Sports Player, and both kick off at 7.45.
