Ullapool Museum has been awarded fifty-thousand pounds through the Museum Futures Programme to support their commercial development project.

The initiative aims to build ties with the travel trade and cruise market, positioning the museum as a regional cultural destination and expanding its audience.

The strategy will include tourism packages, visitor experiences, and retail options, led by a Commercial Development Officer.

The Museum Futures programme helps local museums plan for long-term sustainability by providing strategic support and building the confidence to implement new ideas.

Police Scotland Highland and Islands have advised residents to lock oil tanks and increase external security in the wake of rising demand for the fuel.

Heating oil theft can have considerable repercussions: residences may experience loss of heat, delays in replenishment deliveries, and ongoing increases in costs.

This can prove a particular problem in an area where short-term lets and holiday homes remain unoccupied for extended periods, and thefts go undetected for some time.

A significant number of households depend on oil for heating, and prices have increased significantly as a result of the conflict in the Middle East.

Police issued the warning following incidents in England and Northern Ireland.

And in the weekend football ….

Ross County was beaten one-nil by Championship leader St Johnstone and falls back to the foot of the league, on the same points as Airdrieonians but with a poorer goal difference by five.

In League One, Inverness Caley Thistle conceded a goal in added time and drew one-each with Cove Rangers.

Second placed Stenhousemuir won its match, so the teams are level on points at the top of the table, with Caley Thistle ahead with a goal difference thirteen better and also with a game in hand.
