More than 50 young carers from across the Highlands and beyond have taken part in a Basketball Festival in Inverness.

The innovative festival was organised on Monday by High Life Highland in partnership with Highland Council’s social work service. The festival invited young carers from across various communities, such as Highland, Aberdeenshire and the Borders for a day involving sport, friendship and meeting new cultures. It is hoped that this pioneering project, support by the Scottish Government, will also strengthen the feelings towards the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Scotland.
