Ross County Football Club is continuing its rebuilding efforts after two successive relegations will see it playing in League One next season. Eleven players have left the club since the end of last season and have been replaced so far by seven new signings.
County’s Chief Executive Officer, Steven Ferguson, has said he is happy with the business done so far but is expecting two or three further signings with more possible departures. Pre-season training has already started in preparation for County’s first competitive match against Annan Athletic in the Premier Sports Scottish League Cup on 11th July.
Meantime, County’s long serving groundsman, Davie Fraser, has been recognised with a Highly Commended Pitch of the Year Award in the Championship last season. Steven Ferguson pointed out that the other three clubs which received awards all have hybrid pitches whereas County’s pitch is a traditional grass playing surface which Davie Fraser keeps in top condition in all weathers.
