Wester Ross Fisheries Limited has intimated its wish to modernise Corry Fish Farm located in Loch Broom by removing the existing feed canons and installing a water-borne feed system.
The proposal includes installation of ten feed silos, situated upon the pen group, and hoses made of PVC and polyester polyurethane to distribute feed.
As a preliminary step the company has lodged a screening request with The Highland Council to ascertain whether an Environmental Impact Assessment will be required in any future application for planning permission. Full details are available on Highland Council’s website.
Wester Ross Fisheries Limited is owned by Mowi Scotland Limited which is in turn a subsidiary of Mowi ASA, a Norwegian company believed to be the world’s largest producer of Atlantic salmon.
