Police Scotland have arrested two men aged 17 and 18 after a Ford Transit van was stolen from Ullapool at the weekend
The Grey van, Registration SK22 XCX, disappeared from Argyle Street between late Friday 4th September and early on Saturday 5th September. It was subsequently sighted later that evening in Glasgow before being located in Perth on fire, which was subsequently put out by the Scottish Fire and rescue service.
No injuries are reported and enquiries are ongoing into circumstances surrounding the theft.
Plans have been lodged with Highland Council for a new seaside campervan and camping site in Wester Ross.
Permission has been sought for the new campervan park on part of a 1.37 hectare site at Seafield near the head of Loch Kishorn. The application is for the accommodation of up to 30 campervan pitches, an informal camping area, as well as a toilet, shower block and a shop.

Thanks to a new collection of bat detectors, library customers now have the opportunity to borrow these free of charge from: Gairloch, Dingwall and Ullapool libraries, as well as other libraries in the Highland Council region. Arranged in conjunction with the Highland local Rangers, these are expected to be popular as the nights grow darker.
