The First Minister has announced the roll-out of a £2 fare cap…
People across the Highlands and Islands are set to benefit from more affordable public transport as £2 capped bus fares are to be rolled out this month. Following a successful launch in Shetland and the Western Isles, the pilot will be introduced in the Highland area from the 23rd of March. First Minister John Swinney announced this on a visit to Inverness Bus Station, where he also met Highland Council apprentices.
The Community Connections Fair will take place today Friday 6th March in Ullapool.
The Fair is being held within the Macphail Centre at Ullapool’s High School in Mill Street. Between 5-7pm, people are encouraged to visit numerous pop up stalls to discover groups, services, access support and to engage in networking. Hot food will also be available throughout the evening, provided by Ullapool and District’s Youth Group. You can also visit Radio Wester Ross too, as the station will be there meeting potential new members and new presenters and also talking to people about how you too can get more involved with the Radio Station.
