Gairloch Community Council have announced a public meeting, regarding the future of Strathburn House care home, will be held on the morning of 01st October.

Residents from the Gairloch and surrounding community areas are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at 10:00 AM in Gairloch Community Hall.

Representatives from the NHS, namely Pam Cremin and Karen-Anne Wilson will be present to outline the current situation. Due to recruitment issues the care home services were suspended in July. Both MSP Maree Todd and Councillor Liz Kraft are in support of re-instating this vital asset and have commented how providing end of life care to all its residents with the dignity, compassion and dedication shown by the staff over many years has been very much appreciated.
