The first Lochinver Lights Festival took place last weekend organised by Assynt Leisure with other local groups.

Among the attractions were a walkthrough light display in Culag Woods, a neon family fun run, market stalls and a story telling lantern procession through the woods all concluding with a ceremonial bonfire marking the work of the Elm Project.

The organisers thanked all the volunteers whose hard work made the event a success along with stall holders, community groups and KBE Events who helped raise funds which will be used to support local businesses and groups. Funding support was also provided by The Highland Council through its Event Strategic Fund.
